The algorithms for the processing of the natural language (NLP) of Neurolad.com has been conceived, from the beginning, to be generalist, multilingual and easily customizable. They rely on several dictionaries (at least one for each language) containing several thousands of words with their grammatical properties.
Our system can recognize the language of the user and adapt itself to it: the answer to a question will be made in the language of this question
Furthermore, it "structures" the sentence entered by the user. This phase (also called parsing) generates a syntactic tree and allows to determine the properties such as the form of the sentence (question, affirmation, order, ...), the subject, the verb, the complements, etc. This structuring uses grammar rules specific to each language.

On the other hand, Telick is able to process some commands in reflex mode, i.e., without linguistic analysis.

Lastly, Telick uses conversations richer than simple question-and-answer "exchanges." For example, in everyday life, when a person asks you a question, you must often answer by asking him a question in return. This mode of conversation is supported by Telick. He can even drive the conversation.

Telick uses a neural network to store its information: One essential component to a NLP system is a database in which this system searches the information it needs. The one used by Neurolad.com is a proprietary database storing the objects in network. It allows to store facts in a structured form and can be fed either by assertions expressed in natural language or by import of tables.

Telick embeds an inference engine: it uses the logical rules to deduce new information from what it has previously learnt. The main asset of our technology is to ensure reasoning: The facts are combined together to deduce other facts: After having told the system that "Charles is the Elisabeth's son." and that "Andrew is Charles's Brother.", it can answer successfully to the question "Who is Andrew's mother ?".

Telick is able to find links between some objects for which it has learnt some facts (For instance if it has asked "What is the link between Paris and Rome ?", it will answer that they are both capitals).

Sending a query to Telick can be done in several ways:

1. via the dedicated form on the Neurload site: here
2. via email: If you use an e-mail, its content should be the query intended for Telick (for example: "capital of Uganda"), the subject must be empty and the addressee must be telick.neurolad@gmail.com. You will receive a response by e-mail.
3. via texto: To request Telick by sms, just send a texto with the text of your query to the following number: 0651841744.
4. via Facebook Messenger: For this simply click on the Messenger icon at the right bottom of this page.
5. via the Google assistant: For this simply say, 'Ok Google. Parler avec Monsieur Telick' (this feature is currently limited to french from France).
6. via Alexa, the Amazon assistant: For this simply say, 'Alexa. Ouvre mon ami virtuel.' (this feature is currently limited to french from France).

By default, what you say to Telick is not shared with the other users. Telick can keep your secret.

But you may want to make some of your input available to others: you can do this by just asking Telick to publish it. Telick will then be able to use it to answer questions from other users but also to deduce new facts for them.

Telick is already able to learn and deduce, but will get smarter and smarter over time. You can try it here , via its form.

Registering on Neurolad

To be able to use Telick, you must have a Neurolad account. At the first use, you will have to register. To register, you must follow this link.

Account linking for Alexa

To be able to use Telick efficiently from Alexa, you must perform the account linking between Alexa and Neurolad. To achieve this, you must use the Alexa application on your smartphone: Go to the home screen of the application and click on the connection link between the skill of Monsieur Telick and Alexa.
You will then be redirected to a Neurolad form where you will have to enter your Neurolad credentials (email and password).
If you are not registered on Neurolad, you can do so by following this link. After performing this operation, you will be identified when you chat with Mr. Telick's skill via Alexa.
